Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is anaction -RPG video game developed and published by TaleWorlds , on Windows . It is the sequel to Mount and Blade .

A closed beta is launched in spring 2019 2 . The game was released in Early Access onMarch 30, 20203 . This game will finally be released in final version on October 25, 2022.

Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is an action-RPG featuring strategy mechanics.

Playable factions

The game features eight playable factions. Some take up characteristics of the playable factions of previous games, others are more original:

The Empire, divided into 3 sub-factions: the Western Empire, the Northern Empire and the Southern Empire (inspired by the Byzantine Empire and the Lower Roman Empire , torn apart by civil war for regain control of their former territory, the leaders of the various Imperial clans bear the title of archon ), each of the three factions is opposed to the other two and their leaders are pretenders to the Imperial throne, the territories of Imperial culture lie in the center from the menu ;

Sturgia (close to the Vaegir Kingdom faction in Mount and Blade: Warband , with half- Russian , half- Viking influences , who live in the tundra , their furious huskarls are the best infantry on the continent), their territory is a Principality controlling the north from the continent ;

Battania (masters of the forests and the hills , inspired by the Celts and the Gauls , the best archers on the continent, experts in furtive ambushes ), they control with their High Kingdom lands located in the northwest of the continent;

Vlandia ( close to the Rhodok Kingdom and Swadia Kingdom factions in Mount and Blade: Warband , inspired by the 11th century Normans , with their heavy cavalry and shock spearmen ), their Kingdom controls the far western part of the continent;

Aserai (close to the Sarranid Sultanate faction in Mount and Blade: Warband , these masters of the desert can fight on camels and excel in both close range and long range with their archers ), their Sultanate lies north of great desert expanses south of Calradia and essentially borders a large lake which protects the majority of its coastal towns from its neighbours;

Khuzait Khanate (close to the Khergit Khanate faction in Mount and Blade: Warband , lords of the plains , inspired by the mighty Mongols , mounted archers ), their Khanate stretches along the edge of great steppes in the east of the continent.
