Game Introduction:
Mafia II is a2010 third-person shooter video game developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games . It will benefit from a remastered version by d3t released on May 19, 2020 only in download and on August 28, 2020 in physical version in a compilation called Mafia Trilogy, including the three episodes of the series, on Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One .
It is the sequel to the game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven , released in 2002 and it is followed by 2016 's Mafia III . It is available for PC , PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms .
The action takes place in the fictional town of Empire Bay, inspired by the cities of New York and San Francisco , in the mid-1940s and early 1950s. The map size, not including suburbs and countryside, is of the order of 25 km 2 , more than double the city of the first opus.
The game benefits from three additional contents, including one that was exclusive to PS3 but is now available on PC, titled The Betrayal of Jimmy . The other two, Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventures , are available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC (via Steam ). Only Joe's Adventures is directly related to the original plot of Mafia II 3 .
